Can someone tell me what's class c amplifier?
This comes from the days of valves/tubes. It refers to the time that the valve/tube is drawing current compared to a sine wave period. 100% is class A. 99% to 50% is AB. Less than 50% is class C.
100 % >> A
50 % >> B
between 100 and 50 % >> AB
less than 50 % >> C
class C amplifere has a better power efficiency but it gives much non-lineaity and harmonics due to continous ON/OFF switching.
Also there are classes D,E,F. U can google them :)
how do it work?
