Working of Antenna
1. What is an antenna comprised of ?
2. What are the parameters which we should look at while designing an antenna ?
3. I am confused if antenna uses any battery of our mobile systems while transmitting or receving signals.. Or where else does it get its power/energy from ?
4. IF someone can give a rough idea from the very basics about how an antenna works/functions..
Like.. we construct an antenna using (question 1) taking into account these parameters (question 2). Now how does it transmit and receive info. ?
5. What is the role of radio waves/ microwaves :( i am totally novice in this.
Is it that antennas operate at a fixed frequency and that frequency lies in the radio waves/ RF/Microwaves. so thats why... if so, then which part of our antenna determines this frequency ? If not.. why is the radio frequency so much of importance ?
Plz plz plz.. Help me out.
You can find all your answers in a good book from Balanis "Antenna Theory"
https://www.edaboard.com/viewtopic.p...hlight=balanis
thanks demonis.. unfortunately i cant open rapidshare links from my place. Can u upload it to some other place ?
Though i think i've glanced this book in a library, i cud not find the details for question 3 to 5..
and answer for quest 2 is not clearly stated in the book or is it..
If possible.. can someone briefly explain them..
It is rather difficult to explain the subject which students study for 2 years. You have to read somethig before.
Another good book about modern antennas (and some basis theory auch)
https://www.edaboard.com/viewtopic.p...light=milligan It can be downloaded directly from edaboard
Thanks once again. I get this info. when i try to go to that link.
The topic or post you requested does not exist (it was removed)
Dont know why its not there or been removed...
I have checked. Link work good. Anyway you can make a search with this parameters - Modern Antenna Design, Milligan. The book is in the forum "EDA E-books Upload/Download"
to understand more on antenna,
E- field analysis is useful
