How can I filter out the low frequency component in the final if output of a mixer?

Hi, all:
I am required to design an up-conversion mixer. frf is in the range of 1G--1.3G, flo= 1.45G, and fif
is in the range of 2.45G--2.75G. I am trying to use the most common gilbert structure. How can I filter out the low freqency component in the final if output? Is there any chance that I do not need to build a if-filter after mixer?
Waiting for your replies!

Thanks a lot!

i think u will need filter , coz this is a up converter not down ,, so ur not seeking IF ur seeking RF "high frequency" , so u need a TX filter , to limit the bandwidth , and eleminate any harmonics generated from the Mixer action

Thanks, khouly.
can I use a LC tank as the load ? only amplify the high frequency component.

yeah u can use a tank circuit as a load tuned to the disired frequency
