What are the possible applications for Ku band Low Noise Amplifiers?

what are the possible applications for Low Noise Amplifier(using microstrip transmission line) operating in Ku band range? I am undertaking a LNA project for my graduate studies and i hope someone provide me with more information regarding this matter. thanks

in Ku band application , there is the satillite communicationn, manily LNAs used by satilite LNB use microstrio based LNA , specially the transistors are HEMT's or HJFETs
to give a very low noise figure arround .5 dB at 12 GHz , also if there is a radr systems in this filed u will find the LNA's used there also based on microstrip
