hi all,
which field has more challenges in design aspects RF or Analog.
plz give ur feedback by quoting some examples
regards
manish

May be RF in Microwave region.

I would vote for RF where Maxwell's equations apply.

earilier i worked for analog and mixed signal design.
but i currently swtiched in RF domain.
and i am very new for RF domian.
so i want to know what challenges in RF design specially in transreceiver design,
i know the challenges of analog design hence i want to know in RF domain.
hope u will give me suffiecient feedback.
regards
manish

Probably RF
1) It's a kinda new field...analog has been studied for a long time....
2) In RF...you have to deal a wide range of frequency....
3) Antennas are really hard to design...

That's a question like :How high is up? RF design is inherently analog, so where do you draw the line between the two? Regardless of where you draw the line, both analog and RF have their hard parts. Both are being transformed with the increasing use of Digital Signal Processing.

menewbie, you comment that RF is a new field would suprise Maxwell, Marconi, Edison, Armstrong, etc. RF communications has been around since the start of electronics.

I also would vote for RF having a lot of applications.

I vote for RF, in RF field, even if the transmit line's length and width has been changed, the whole result will be different.

Hi,
I think Analog domain is much more evolved then RF.
Also in RF you have to deal with some complex mathematical equations.
So as compared to analog RF is a bit tough, but interesting and highly rewarding.

thanks
