what is the difference between imp matching and bridging and where is eachone used?
Impedance bridging aims to maximize "voltage" transfer to the load.
Impedance matching aims to maximize "power" transfer to the load (complex conjugate of the load).
I think when there is a good impedance matching , the impedance bridging is good too.
When no SWR all the power is transfered to the load and is the maximum voltage too at the load.
Impedance matching is the need for elctronic circuits for the maximum power transfer across the load. They avoid reflections from the load back inti the circuit.
Impedance bridging maximum voltage transfer to load.
