ADS examples of VCO design

VCO is a huge topic , and there are many aspects to know the performance of it
and also u need to specify how will u implement it
the aspects
1) tuning range
2) phase noise
3) power consumption
4) spectral purity
5) frequency pushing and pulling

will it be CMOS or bipolar , or will be discrete

vco as khouly said is a huge topic , it is needed in the pll synthesizers , to lock for a certain frequency, by varying its controll voltage then frequency changes, vco has wide usage; SERDES, rf front ends, etc., the most common types are lc vco for constraints on phase noise and ring oscillators for consraints in tuning range and area, just hit vco on google and you will not have enough time to read what will you see!

have you some ADS examples of VCO ?

check the examples of ads under RFIC category u will find a very good example about CMOS integrated VCO with varactor simulation
u will learn alot from it

the RFIC examples don't contain this kind of VCO

This RFIC examples folder don't contain LC VCO examples?
What about LC VCO examples?

in this folder check the the MOS_VCO_prj
