hi,
what is the beam width ( both in horizontal and vertical) required for rf id and wlan application? and what is the radiation pattern requirement?
if anybody have the pdf or powerpoint material for the following cases, plz send it to me.
1. different frequency ranges, beamwidth, bandwidth, application, gain and radiation patterns.
2. list of rf substrates , loss tangent, standard thickness,dielectric constants etc.

In antenna pattern, the angle between the half-power (3 dB) points of the main lobe, when referenced to the peak effective radiated power of the main lobe.
Beamwidth is usually expressed in degrees. It is usually expressed for the horizontal plane, but may also be expressed for the vertical plane.
Normally , application for short range we usually use omni-pattern.
The detail for rfid I suggest you to find IEEE paper.
