electronic scanning array antenna

hi all,i see in balanis book,there is two ways to make electronic scanning array,phase shifter and ferrite and diode,is there are any practical design for each one,i want to make electronic scanning array,for printed or wirring antenna

The use of a diode is a very practical solution. U just basically stick the diode on a lengthy transmission line by calculating the phase shift provided by the line and switch ur diode on a and off.. Voila.. u have a scanning array.. :)
Also, u shud be able to find a lot of material on the web regarding this..
