Help needed : Microstrip structures
in any microwave SW , u can find the S parameters of the bend , and then convert them to ABCD
check matlab RF toolbox , it can convert them very easly

I have searched many text books in this regard but I could not find it. If you know any, please let me know, too!
Specifically, I need a model of microstrip bends.
in ads or MWO , use the bend and make S paramter simulation for it , then u get the model u want
khouly
Hmmm.
Dear biff44,
Would you please upload the full book ?
The part of it in your above post is really interesting, and useful. The conclusion in the uploaded part is the same as my practice, but the a fine modeling, and EM pictures explains it much deeper.
The other parts should be also very interseting. Thanks.

Ansoft Designer has a recommended dimension for a 90 degree mitered bend in the documentation for "BENDO". It may be of help. Note that the exponent is -1.35 not -135. I had an interesting discussion with one of their AE's about that one. It was a friendly exchange.
I have another reference that may be useful but it is in the office. I'll run it down tomorrow.
Additional information may be found in Transmission Line Design Handbook by Brian Wadell start at page 289 (I only have paper copies)
Stripline Circuit Design, Harlan Howe, Jr. has more (pg 47 and following) with comparison of different types and some TDR performance plots.
I did some simulations a while back and came to similar conclusions.
I hope this helps.
