Has anyone used Lindenblad antennas in mobil links?
Thanks for any help,
NandoPG
I installed long time ago a Lindenband antenna for a 433MHz repeater. The performances were slightly better than a ground plane but the mechanics were so sensitive to the winds, which makes me to replace it with a vertical dipole.
Because the isolation between Lindenband elements is relatively poor (due to the distance) I don?t think this type of antenna can give a good diversity effect (helping for multipath).
VFone,
Thank your for your reply.
I understand your point. However my application is a short range indoor link operating in 2.4GHz. I have tried some types of omnidirectional antennas in the transmitter with no success. The receiver end has a directional dipole array.
Replacing the omni by a directional antenna in the TX side the link works magnifically, what leads me to suppose that I have a typical multipath problem.
I did some research on the Internet and the Lindenblad antenna looks to be the choice for omnidirectional application in mobile system in a strong multipath environment.
My problem is that I don't have to much of expertise in antennas system and I don't know if it is worthy to pursuit this Lindenblad path.
Knowing better my application, what would you advice me?
Thank you,
NandoPG
