double the frequency of an antenna.

Hello.

I know nothing about antennas, nothing at all.

My problem is that I am designing a GSM system with a very small antenna, this antenna requires a PCB pad that has 50 Ohm impedance (did I say that correct?).

This antenna is for the a range of 880 - 960 MHz. I am wondering if there is any possible way to make it work for this and the double frequency of this, meaning to work at 1800 MHz. Is there any standard techinc for that or it cannot be done?

Furthermore, I want this to be achieved only by existing hardware, for example, I will tell to my microcontroller to execute some actions so that now I will receive the double frequency signals.

So, is it possible?

double frequency is possible. so many techniques are there to get dual frequency operation; to get exactly the double frequency , u have to design in proper way.

if u r intrested in design of an antenna which receives 3 frequencies then u 've to use the polarization. there are 3 types of polarization of any antenna.
1-horizental polarization
2-vertical pola..
3- circular pola..
usually we use vertical polarization in antenna of mobile. also we can use both horizental and vertical polari.. i.e 800,900 at horizental and 188 at vertical.
