How do we defined effeciency for an envelope detector ?
The diode detector efficiency is the ratio between Voutput(DC average)/Vinput(RF peak).
This quanty depend of the resistence of the load. If this resistence is zero, logically the efficiency is null. If the R=infinite, the efficiency aprox. to 1.
A tipical design value is 0.8.
