microstrip band pass filter

hi...just to ask..which the best implementation of microstrip for BPF?

also...how evaluate the performance of filter? ...only see a frequency response or another parameter?

the BPF in microstrip have many implementations , like hairpin , edge coupled , side coupled , interdigital and so on , it will depend on ur frequency , the board area ,

u need to know the S paramter , the insersion loss , and the group delay of the filter

Implementation depends primarily on requirements. For example, the interdigital filter will provide smallest size, but have reentery mode at odd harmonics. Combline filter may be small and have no reentery mode, but will require tuning.

You need to consider insertion loss, bandwidth, stop-band attenuation, group delay and return loss as major filter parameters.
