RFID with a sensor input

时间:04-09 整理:3721RD 点击:
Folks,

Does anyone know of an LF or HF passive RFID chip (or tag) that has a sensor input?

I have found a couple of them, but they are very difficult to obtain even in the US (even here in the Silicon Valley). I'm looking for something like Microchip MCRF202 and Atmel ATA5570.

Please help me!

Thanks,
Nick

Are you sure that you need PASSIVE RFID? Because it is difficult to imagine for me how it can be useful for sensor input without internal battery. Maybe, you need ACTIVE RFID?

you only need a business address to atain samples from microchip

no pals in the trade? or at uni collage etc?

samples are easy from them even here in the uk even to my home.. for five years now

im happy when the post arrives these days

atmel dont care as long as you use there local rep's
you may need to prise them off them thou

better than nothing i suppose

Let me put it this way: I haven't given up on finding a passive RFID with sensor input. I need to sense only 1 bit. The fact that such chips exist (MCRF202 and ATA5570, and I hope that they aren't vaporware) really encourages me. It's proof by existence.

I've talked to Microchip pretending that I'm a small company (they got it "hook, line and sinker"). But they e-mailed me back saying that "Microchip is not supporting any new customer on our RFID parts at this time" at all. Don't need much support, but I'll need to work my way up through their sales system before I can convince somebody to send or sell me some samples.

I don't know anyone off-hand, who's the Microchip's RFID customer. But I'll search. It's a small world.
By the way, if you know someone, could you tell me? It would be of great help!

I've contacted the sales rep, but they haven't responded for 10 days.

I have a feeling that RFID (just like cell phone) ICs are viewed by the manufacturers as a high-volume part, and they seem disinterested in talking to a small firm.

UPDATE: I've started another thread on this subject in a Microcontroller section

I am a research student and I need to transponder IC with sensor input for my project.

I would like to know if you managed to obtain some samples of ATA5570 or another similar transponder IC.

Thank you!
