how to do em simulation on awr?
I want to do EM simulation of a circuit which is Consisting of
1)Balun, switch and antenna in Transmit path
2) Antenna,LNA and Balun in Receive path using S-parameters of the Devices.
Can any body helps me how to proceed ?I will appreciate if any one upload tutorials regarding this kind of simulation..........
Advance thanks ................
Hello sekharareddy,
AWR Microwave Office (MWO) has lot of examples on EM Simulation & Sub System Analysis in Examples folder ....for Project or Design description go through the Design Notes section....
C:\Program Files\AWR\AWR2007\Examples\Microwave_Office\Featur es\EMSight\
and
C:\Program Files\AWR\AWR2007\Examples\Microwave_Office\Design _Types\Subsystem\
You can import S-parameter files of LNA, Balun etc to MWO....
Also if you have the AWR Visual System Simulator (VSS) you can do complete end to end system analysis such as BER measurements, or RF Cascaded budget analysis, Spectrum, Constellation, plots etc....

Thank u Manju,
Thank u very much.
Can you suggest me on
1) how to connect the port to the balanced lines of a BALUN?
Because as we know that Balun have two terminals at balanced side and one terminal at Unbalanced side.
2) Also assume that if my Balun's balanced impedance is 200Ω and unbalanced impedance is 50Ω. how to select the port impedance on balanced side?
Hello,
Yes, use a multi-mode converter (MMCONV) or a transformer between the balun and the measurement port....
Their is an example which shows how you can use this model (Mixed_Common_and_Differentia_Measurements.emp)... ..

Thank you Manju,
I will go through that.......
