series stub in microstip structures

is it possible to build up a series-stub for a microstrip line ?

....may be we should take all possibilities to modify the electrical parameters of series elements in a RF-path if this is necessary (strip width change, bond wires...).
The flexibility, the parallel stub offers us, is not reachable....

Ok. The scrap above is not the best, and my answer might be also a bit confusing.

I asked how to realize a length-variable-transmission-line in series to a MSL.

Lines in parallel are quite comfortable when designing matching networks.
Within MSL-technique series lines are not possible. We can only use bondwires, SMD devices, ... as series elements.
