Metalization Evaporation

The metal to be deposited is usually placed in a wolfram holder that is heated to a high temperature (by passing a high current through it). The holder would melt the metal and let it evaporate. The evaporated metal molecules are there after impinging on the surface to be coated.
The technology is used for metal coatings below um range to Angstrom range. Also the process is performed below atmospheric pressure.
