Questions about Bi-Directional 2.4G Power Amplifier

A 802.11g 2.4G power amplifier used after a wireless AP's antenna port,Which has Receiveing amp and Power amp channel.So how can I achieve "Bi-Directional" communicating?THS!

The ones I have seen have a power sensor on the lan side, and when the device is transmitting it senses the power and turns on the booster power amp. When it does not sense any transmit power, it switches over to the low noise receiver amp booster.
