fm voice transmitter for serial data

i want to transmitt serial data from pc using fm voice transmitter at 108mhz.and recieve with ordinary fm reciever and then wnat to see this data again on pc.
is it possible?

yes it is
just modulate ur signal using a DTMF generator and give it as an input to tranmitter and use ur receiver output do the reverse process

any specific ic or circuit that u recommend for this?
