Where are we Antennas & Microwave people going to land?

Hello All,
While doing some sort of research work in the field of Antennas for some months,I was fascinated by the idea of knowing the implications of my work,where will it lead to,etc etc.
There are so many people visting this Antenna forum.Some are beginners,some are proficients and rest are experts.Some of them are industry designers and some are researcher here.
I want to openly discuss with you something, what are the topics are you working on? Why are they improtant and what are the implications of it?
The real motive is to find out whether to know where the antenna community is leading to,what are forefronts of research in antennas or microwaves in general,what are you people working on really?
If you are a Antenna designer then Microstrips planer antenna or reflector just like me or RF designer then it could be something like designing filters or mixers or anything.Anything related to this forum is most welcome.
DO you people read IEEE,IEE AP Magazine,transcations and newletters? What topics do you find reserchers are working on...? I know some of them....like UWB Antennas,MIMO,Smart Antennas etc... but that dosen't mean that all old problems in Antenna analysis and synthesis are solved.

As the wireless communication is advancing so is the need for efficient transmission and reception of the signals , and the one of the ways to make the systems better is to improve on the Antenna parameters. Microwave and Antenna people still have alot of work on the Improvement of the Antennas because even a good antenna can be made better!
