Where can I adjust the length of the reference plane in Sonnet?
I am now using Sonnet to design the inductor and got this error message when I simulate the inductor.
Sonnet error EG2350:
Illegal circuit configuration.
Filename: test_ind_ind_Sonnet EM.son
The top reference plane must be more than 3 cells long.
And I don't know where I can adjust the length of the reference plane.
Hope somebody can help me solve this problem. Thank you very much!

u can see the Cell size calculator dialog box in the Sonnet for solving this problem
Generally, you need to be careful about using short reference planes in Sonnet. There is even a section in the manual warning you about this. In Sonnet, you don't need to set a reference plane to get accurate results. Are you setting a short reference plane on purpose or are you just doing it because you thought you had to?
Set your reference planes in Circuit->Ref Planes/Cal Length. Read Chapters 7 and 8 in the User's Manual (Help->Manuals). You can also post on the Sonnet forum (www.sonnetsoftware.com) for quick answers from Sonnet experts who monitor that forum (in addition to the experts on this forum, of course!).
