microstrip antenna design handbook download
Can anyone tell me what software is most suitable for microstrip antenna design.
Some of my friends suggest ADS and Microwave Office. Thans..

Sonnet Software EM, Zeland IE3D or AWR EMSight are good for planar antnnas(microstrip)...

hi all,i see that topic is repeated so much here,who trust with his simulator,i see some papers simulate with cst but not agree with measured,but most of fdtd siumlators has very approximately results agree with measured but fdtd is very slow compare with cst why?.i trust by cst but results simulation not accurate as measured .

I think it's better for you to work with ADS layout, at first.
after that you can use HFSS to get more accurate results. (based on Finite Element Method)
But Microwave Studio is also another good option.

What I recommend if you are familiar with a software use that.
ADS, CST, Ansoft tools. IE3d, Sonet... they are all good.
ADS is very good in palaner electromagnetic simualtinos , i have used it alot , and gave very good results

For Planar Antennas IE3D is the best simulator with accuracy and speed.
I used Agilent ADS -Momentum for lot of planar patch antennas the results agreed with measurements most of the time...
