software for design a profile paraboloid curve

Hi to all,
i want bulding a big satellite dish but i need the software for design a profile paraboloid curve to make a parabolic arm for the concrete mold.

You dont need software to create parablic curve on surface. You will need a string that will not stretch, marking tool, straight stick, 90oruler , few screws.
Blue line on diagram is your string fixed at focal point F and corner of 90oruler, Q point. L is your straight stick fixed firmly on the surface. Marker is inserted in P point while resting on the edge of the ruler. Other edge of the ruler that is forming 90o is resting on the L stick. Now as you move ruler alog L stick, marker will be restricted with edge of the ruler and length of the string, creating parabolic curve on surface of your material. You have to make sure that part of the string (Pn-Qn) forms perfect 90o with stick L, that L stick is straight, F is fixed and very small and string doesn't stretch. Marker has to be very small to create as small radius as possible on string in pont Pn. That is how you draw parabolic curve.

You might give some thought to how big is "big" and the frequency you intend to operate. That will give you an indication of the accuracy you will need to achieve. Another factor is how you intend to build the parabola. You might be better off with a commercial reflector. Andrew is one source to explore and there are others. I ran across an article years ago by some hams who found a "dust bin" lid that was a pretty good reflector. They were using it at x band.

Here are two reflector codes that you might find interesting: TICRA and Sabor. The first is expensive and the other is not.

Thanks for your replay but i dont have a lot free time for making that because i work every day... so if i get a software it help me a lot.

Around 5 meter with f/d 0.5 for recive ku band. In Ethiopia is forbiden to import dish over 2 meter.... I tried Ticra Grasp student edition but doesen't do what i want.
