Gunn Diod Excitation

Hi Everyone! Could anyone kindly advise if had similar practise in simulating gunn diode excitation applyed to ring slot antenna. Which method is prepared? FEM? Is it sufficient to excitate normal modes. As I gues H11 fields are propagated in ring slot case
