PIN diodes in bare die form?

时间:04-08 整理:3721RD 点击:
Looking for some bare PIN diode dice, not packaged, but
not having much luck going through manufacturer web
pages (Rohm, Panasonic, only see plastic packaged ones).

Any good distributors, or direct purchase experiences to
recommend?

I'd like very low noise and tens of microns depletion
width at maybe 5V bias. It's for a kooky detector application.
Don't see any noise or "dark current" specs in datasheets
I've looked at. Any recommendations in this vein would
be helpful too.

Do you mean RF PIN switching diodes or PIN photodiodes? I thought you meant RF until you mentioned dark current!

Keith

The operation is quasi-DC, but when "something" does hit
we want a very fast response. A photodiode might be as good
as an RF type.

One particular interest, is having all electrical contacts on
one face. A PIN diode array as used in some fiber optic
schemes might be good, provided that the "fill factor" is
very near 100%. We would reverse-bias the junction to
get high collection efficiency, yet want low dark current
because current directly drives noise, and "events" may be
not that far above noise.

Try US Microwaves:

Or even Avago, I think:
