attenuation at RF
I am utilizing AD9833 to generate waveform to 10Mhz according to datasheet.
But after 50KHz, I am getting attenuation. DC level gets added and distortions as well. At 100K, the response is almost DC. I am not able to figure out the reason of such behavior.
I was expecting that these things would occur after 1MHz. But 50K is too early
Please give me suggestions and possible solutions.
What is your clock frquency. You will need the full 25 MHz clock to get 10 MHz out.
What did you exactly connect to the AD9833 VOUT pin? Did you enable the internal load resistor or connected an external one?
What's the capacitive pin load?
@biff44
i utilized crystal osc of 25MHz as mentioned in the datasheet.
@fvm
I connected 100nF capacitor at Vout Pin.
I did not enable external load resistance , i relied on internal one according to datasheet.
anyways i m attaching the circuit diagram mentioned in the datasheet.
In place of C4?. I have no further questions.
Yes, you would want to remove that 0.1 uf capacitor at Vout! Not sure why the schematic recommends one there, but if you do you want it to be in the pf range, not the uf range.
It's optional in the schematic, apparently intended as a first order low pass.
