Re: play on S parameters of transistor !!!
Is there any solution to play with S2p file of transistor, i.e, in case when the simulated and measured results are not agree especially in S11. For that, i tried to many way to see what is th problem but still no thing good. I have checked on the net, i saw that if we play on s2P parameters (little variation) we can see approximately the variation...
Is any idea for that ?

i mean s parameters of transistor and the circuit is an amplifier
Another way, What kind of RLC cicruit can we add to the input and output of the transistor?
Any kind you want...
Thank you vfone, but i wanted to say how can i know which things can i add in the input and/or output of transistor ?
I means that : 1. both shunt capacitors in the transistor input and output ?
2. series inductor in the transistor input and both shunt capacitors in the transistor input and output ?
3. series resistor in the input of transistor ?
4. ....?
Hi,
Angilent ADS might help you with this.
You can put your touchstone file in the "Data item" in ADS to build their models .
e.g. you can have the model of you trans, and the model of your outer circuits. And then connect them together, run the "Sweep frequency" to see the result.
Then you maybe you can find where the problem is.
Hi shmily0447,
Your are right, it's the way that i'm looking for ...but how can i build models of my touchstone file in ADS ?.
In ADS, i saw that there is a TestLab_HOWTO_prj! but have i use this ?
Not that, i do not have a model my transistor which is HJFET NE3514S02?
Is there an idea ?
I would like to make a model for the transistor in order to play with its intrinsic & extrinsic parameters !
Find the "data item", then you can inport you touchstone file into the model, then you can run the freq sweep with that.
pls, could explain me step by step cause i did not understand the procedure that showed me......
Thank you in advance,
N
Hi,
It's roughly like the picture attached. 'Cause I am busy with my QE these days, so I am afraid I can not help you alot with this.

Thank you but i know how we use S2P file.....
I think you did not understand me what i'm looking for !
Thank you and good luck for your work.....
