How to predict block parameters for a microstrip receiver design?
How can we know or suppose in micro strip super-heterodyne receiver, the power gain and other parameters in its each bloc ?
i.e, for example:
G_total=G_BPF+G_LNA_G_IR+Gain_mixer+Gain_IFilter+G ain_IFAmplifier...so on
the same for noise ...
I wanna design a microstrip receiver in 8 GHz, how can predicts the above parameters ?

It depends on application.For which application do you want to design the receiver?
For radar applications (X-band) in micro-strip technology..
Do someone have an idea ?
Hi again to analyse such system you can use budget analysis.Ansoft, ADS, MWO the most populer softwares have budget simulation option.I searched and found some important aspects in designing radar receiver it may help you.In addition to this ADS has Radar Applications design guide it may help too.

If i wanna use ADS to simulate the receiver blocks, so budget analysis is interesting to use but how can i draw the total gain, NF and the IP3 ?
suppose that, the blocks have:
1. RF BPF: Loss (Gain) =-2.1 dB and NF=2.1 dB
2. LNA: Gain =10 dB and NF=2.5 dB and IIP3= 20 dBm
3. IRF:Loss (Gain) =-2.1 dB and NF=2.1 dB
4. Mixer: Gain =12 dB and NF=2 dB and IIP3= 20 dBm
5. IF filter: Loss (Gain) =-2.1 dB and NF=2.1 dB.
Drawing the:
1. Total Gain of receiver ?
2. Total NF of receiver ?
and 3. Total IP3 of receiver ?
Is someone knows about that ?

What about Bit Error Rate (BER) ? how can we simulated in ADS ?
