Transistor for Low Noise Amplifier

Hello Friends,
Can any one suggest me good transistor for Low noise amplifier application?

My LNA will be used in 1st stage of radio astronomy receiver system
So it should be capable of providing very low noise figure at 5GHz.

My bandwidth is 500MHz & Fc is 5GHz.

NF should be < 0.4dB

( also just FYI I would like to use RT duriod ROgers 5870 with er=2.33)


Please suggest me good transistor.


Also I will be very happy if any of you can comment on or guide me on this LNA design.
How should I use the transistor you have suggested to obtain low NF.

I think u can use NE350184C

Use E-PHENT or HJ-FET transistors, for example,
NE3210S01, NE3511S02,NE3515S02

I have NE3210S01
But I have found out that it has been optimised for 12GHz.

Datasheet shows good NF though at 5GHz.

SHould I go with this transistor?
NE3210S01?

Mr. Zeshan, I have downloaded your LNA 5GHz files to ADS, i am unable to use the NEC transistor that you have put up for download, it says the transistor is an undefined instance, etc even after loading the "Technology File Include" onto the Schematic, can you please help me in this aspect.

Also, I am looking out for an LNA design at 2.45 GHz, if you have a schematic file in ADS, can you please send it to my email?

I am looking for the design of LNA using FET transistor. I downloaded the NEC design kit that you uploaded. when I use it to run the S-parameter for the NE3210S01 I always got an error from ADS? How does the transistor file model is defined?

I am using ADS2009 may be its version problem uplaod your ADS project so that i can check, design kit is active lib so for S-paramete u need proper biasing circuit.

I am using ADS2009. I did downloaded the design kit and I know that the transistor need to be biased before the S-parameter can be performed. When you pull a FET transistor to your design under the transistor parameter there is something called parameter=NULL. What is this parameter is supposed to be? If I write the transistor name (NE3210S01) will it work? Is there anything else that needs to be added to the design Schematic?

If anyone got LNA designed using the NEC library can he uploaded to see how the design is being made?
