Hello Friends,
I am trying to develop an RF Transmitter and Receiver for a ROVER project i am working on, the components i am using are a 555 Timer IC in Astable Multivibrator Mode to generate the necessary Sine wave signal for the transmitter, and a Tank Circuit with further amplification using LM358 OPAMP for signal detection as a receiver. Now the problem is that
1. As per the calculation i am not able to detect any signal.
2. The LED on the receiver is continuously glowing and if i bring the transmitter very close say approx 5 inch apart the receiver LED stops glowing, i am not sure if this is tuning or it is just some signal superimposing kind of phenomena.
I have attached my circuit diagrams in the rar files along with this post as well as the sheet that i use to calculate the transmitter and receiver frequency.
If any one can shed some light on this would be really helpful, thanking you in advance
Regards

Hi There,
where did you get this cct from ?
firstly... I doubt that a 555 timer could oscillate at 48MHz
secondly... you are not showing any conventional RF transmitter output circuitry
thirdly... you are not showing any conventional RF receiver circuit
have a look on the www for transmitter circuits there are many many links to basic and more complex transmitters and receivers, depending on your preference and performance requirements.
remember GOOGLE is your friend :)
now concerning the 555 timer. you could use this to produce say a 1kHz sine wave tone and then use that tone to modulate a transmitter
just some thoughts for you
