different between 1000pF and 1nF capacitors

Hi everyone!
I got a question about capacitor's value. Have got any different between 1000pF and 1nF? Why producer didn't write 1nF instead of 1000pF for simpler?

They are the same. Some people even use 0.001uF!

I tend to use values between 1 and 999 so would use 1nF but I don't write 0.5pF as 500fF, except in my simulator which automatically scales units so the values are between 1 and 999.
