Where can I get SW receiver circuits?
I have been looking for SW receiver circuits or projects since a time but I can not find. Only some circuits of regenerative recivers which I don't need. I will appreciate if any body could recommens where to find superhetrpdyne SW receiver circuits to build.
thanks in advance for any help.
Try ARRL Radio Amateur's Handbook, any edition presents some SW receivers. There are many radio-amateur books with interesting designs.
What SW band are you looking to cover? It will be difficult for a beginner to make a superhet receiver that covers all SW bands up to 30MHz.
Are you looking to just receive AM broadcasts?
Are you looking to design a receiver using discrete parts rather than ICs?
I would recommend you make a receiver based on FETs and/or dual gate MOSFETs and you try and use a decent ceramic filter (6kHz wide) to get good selectivity at your chosen IF.
However, if you can hold of a TDA1572 you can make a reasonable 'one band' AM receiver fairly quickly with just a few external components.
