doubts about harmonic balance engine of PSS/QPSS

Hello, dear friends.

I’d like you to share your experience about using harmonic balance engine at PSS and QPSS analyses, simulator – spectre, to measure P1dB and IIP3 of RF front-end. I used to measure these quantities with transient analysis, because I consider it as the most reliable, but it doesn’t converge.

HB should be more appropriate than time domain analysis. Furthermore you ll save a lot of time with HB.

I guess your transient analysis doesn't converge due to a big gap between your circuit time constants and the period of your simulation, HB analysis might solve this point...
