Who know the GPS and GLONASS frequency band?

时间:04-07 整理:3721RD 点击:
I searched in the internet and didn't find details information of the freq coverage of the GPS and GLONASS?
I found in the internet that GPS is at 1575M and 1227M, but one thread of this forum refer to GPS at 1559M. So I confused about the full GPS freq coverage?
And also about the GLONASS freq coverage?
Any help will be grateful.

GPS operates in specific bands
Each GPS satellite transmits two carrier signals in the microwave range, designated as L1 and L2 (frequencies located in the L-Band between 1000 and 2000 MHz).
Civil GPS receivers use the L1 frequency with 1575.42 MHz (wavelength 19.05 cm). The L1 frequency carries the navigation data as well as the SPS code (standard positioning code). The L2 frequency (1227.60 MHz, wavelength 24.45 cm) only carries the P code and is only used by receivers which are designed for PPS (precision positioning code). Mostly this can be found in military receivers.

Unlike the Global Positioning System and Galileo, in which each satellite broadcasts a distinct code on the same frequency, GLONASS broadcasts the same code on different frequencies. At the L1 frequency, for example, the GLONASS open signal is spread between 1598.0625 MHz to 1607.0625, in sub-bands with signal peaks separated by 0.5625 MHz.

But that seems not completeful.

in what way ?

the info Ckshivaram gave agrees with the Trimble GPS gear I work with on a daily basis :)

Dave

GPS now have up to L5, but L3(L2C)~L5 is useless to my project. So thank you very much.

yeah ... I just discovered the L5 mode myself a few days ago :)
