Impedance matching of GPS antenna with GPS odule
I have done the circuit design of GPS module.
I have taken the U-blox NEO-M8U and GPS Internal active antenna JCN04N to design the GPS.
I want to know how to do impedance matching with GPS module and antenna.
Please somebody help me to solve this problem.
Thanks, advance.
Expect that both sides are designed with 50 ohm impedance and neither need nor take advantage from additional impedance matching circuits.
Hi,
Thanks for giving the response.
It means, I don't need to do impedance matching.
Don't need to do any change on schematic.
Question is where you got the values for C83 and L17 bias T? C83 seems a bit low capacitance. L17 has self resonance around 1 GHz, hopefully still sufficient impedance at GPS frequency.
While ago I bought a cheap GPS module using NEO-M8N chipset. The module works well with good sensitivity and short lock time.

I found that the patch antenna port of the module goes directly to the RF input of M8N (pin 11) without any matching network.
