RF Receivers in two bands

We are designing LTE receiver and we are required to cover two bands, 40 and 41 TDD. so i was asking if that is possible because that will require different frequencies for the mixer

yes it is possible with some methods , but i want describe simplest way here: for some nano second , your first signal should given to the amp and for the other some nano seconds another signal should given to the amp and this act will do periodic .

If you use 2 different IF stage after downconversion, you will have 2 IF frequency and then you can discriminate by filtering.
