Transform LC oscillator to use coil

Hello, I have build this oscillator http://neazoi.com/20KHz-65MHzSineOsc...MHzSineOsc.htm and it works fine. I was wondering how could I convert this to use a crystal instead of an LC? Since DC passes through the L I cannot just remove it.

Dear neazoi
Hi
You should use a crystal to short circuit the base , instead of that capacitor and that tank circuit still needed . this oscillator called harmonic oscillator .

Thanks, I will try this and let you know.
Are you sure this is a harmonic oscillator? I find it to give very clean signals on the oscilloscope, If it produced harmonics I should see something like multiple waveforms?

No No No ! don't confuse , it called harmonic oscillator because it can operate at other harmonics of crystal too . it's out put will be very pure .

Try to replace the tuned inductors with a choke, remove the 10nF cap from the base of up-left BF494 transistor and place the quartz crystal between its base and collector. Might need to remove the 47 ohms resistors from the collector.
