Want to calculate antenna gain.

How to calculate antenna gain if the frequency is 2.4GHz. I just have frequency only. I don't know transmit gain and received gain.

Theoritically, how I calculate?

Frequency is not determinant at all. At least, in order to have a rough idea it is necessary to know the type of the antenna.

The type is PCB antenna.

nowhere near enough info,

what sort of antenna ? a plain Yagi, a log-periodic Yagi, a patch if a patch more than 1 element ?
something totally different ?

what sort of PCB, single sided ? double sided ? thickness ? er ?

show us a photo of it.... do have a link to where the design came from ?
