Diffrent result in HFSS11, why? what of them is correct?
I simulated a design in HFSS (UWB antenna).
In first simulation, I use fast simulation with frequency 6.5GHz for simulating in 1 to 11 GHZ.
In second simulation, I use fast simulation with frequency 11GHz for simulating in 1 to 21 GHZ.
Result is very diffrent, which one is correct? why?
Hi everyone,
Please Help meeeeeeeeeeee
i dont have much experience with these software packages, but i suspect the only reason there is a difference in the absolute strewngth of the signal at the peak is because the program is using differnet sample sizes. i think it means the signal realyy goes to the -40, gut the second plot just managed to work on plots either side of the peak...
i think this software divide the whole structutre in the meshes and mesh will generate on the basis of highest wavelength which u provide and here the highest frequency provided by u for two different sweep is very much different so the no. of mesh generated is very much different and the whole calculation is differ thats why ur results show this type of mismatch.........and also in ur structure the operating frequency is different for both cases so the calculation of field component is depend upon this also...............
I believe that , HFSS design is not frequency independent and so the structure will obviously have different response at different frequency .
I think both are agree to some extent. Are you confused about the frequency scale? The top one has its scale extending to 25 GHz, while in the second one it stops at 12 GHz... Sorry if this is not the case...
