About binary file for MSP430f2001

Hi all,
I want to know that which file is burn in to the MSP430F2001 microcontrollers.
when I am using Code Composer Studio 4.0
and IAR workbench for MSP430 ?
e.g. we burn .hex file in the 8051 based mcu's.
