Dear all,
I have bought the HSMS 286x series schottky diode. The breakdown voltage (Bv) is given as 7 V in the SPICE model of the data sheet.
I have put the SPICE model into the ADS and run the simulation. I got a I-V curve. The imposed reverse voltage 7.07 V is corresponding to the
current -1 mA. In reality, I use a power supply to verify it. I got a totally different results. The measured reverse voltage is 9.04V, which is
corresponding to the current 1 mA.
Is there some details I don't take care of ?

Dear Lil:
Be glad that you have really measured the real breakdown voltage, and found it higher than specified.
All manufacturers specify the critical parameters from a large number of randomly tested samples, and write a value that will be met in almost all units.
The breakdown voltage is one of such parameters that are rather prohibited to reach or exceed over all device life. I would not use such device in a good mixer again.
