UC-EBG design using PSO(Particle swarm optimization)

hi

i want to use the UC-EBG on Rogers RT/5880 substrate thickness h = 1.5757mm and er = 2.2 at X-band.

For Miniaturization of UC-EBG Should I use the PSO algorithm,But I am not familiar with this algorithm and time to learn short.

I really need your help
