xilinx ROM初始化文件coe和mif的区别与作用

各位大虾，xilinx Rom的初始化文件是coe格式的，通过core gen转换成mif格式。请教：coe和mif文件的各自作用是什么?如果已有通过其它工具生成的mif文件，是否可以在modelsim/vcs仿真时以及FPGA验证时直接将mif文件替换?

to solve this problem,  in the vhd file of rom you created ,you should change the path to the mif file with the full path, in
linux: /home/username/ .../romName.mif
windows: C:\...\romName.mif

coe是用来综合的，mif是用来仿真的

coe 文件只是配置数据文件。 mif 文件是二进制数据。
建议摒弃用ise 自带的，按照 Verilog或者VHDL 的标准语法去描述。
