I followed the CSR's schematic and design a BT headset, in which there is a PCM codec MC145383.
The problem I met is the I can not solder it on my PCB with good result.
Maybe the iron temperature is too high for it , the chip always is damaged partly or whole.
I can only make one out of ten chips.
Does anybody have the same experience ?

Use hot air and solder paste with low melting point. Is the solution i use with special temperature sensible chips.
Hi,
Use low voltage operated soldering iron (like 24V), and will be more good if temperature controlled and properly earth if required.
Thank U.
I do try a hot air gun, but with almost the same rusult.
I want to know if the MC145483 is very easy to be damaged.
does anybody know if there is substitute for the MC145483 ?
You can try CML's CMX649 codec but I never had any problem with MC...

I do trust MC, maybe the chips is just made by other company, and with MC's trade mark.
