I'm researching the design of a bidirectional amplifier for wlan ( 2.4 Ghz ) applications, like that it appears here (http://www.qsl.net/n9zia/wireless/appendixD.html).
My question is the following one: How i can control the sdpt switchs without having to take to amplifier an extra signal of control? A design with a RF detector is possible?
The two following pictures describe my doubt and put somes ics for the possible design:

Is a factible solution using a duplexer for tx-rx control ?
The switching time is too high when using the RF to drive the WLAN antenna switch.
You cannot use a duplexer in WLAN.

Here is an application that probably it will work.

On my design I did use a diode detector followed by an amplifier, and no luck.
best
