Information about the satellite jamming concept
I want an idea of “Satellite Jamming”
Can anyone explain ?
Any documentation will also be helpful.
Don’t worry I am not going to jam any satellite; I just want the basic idea behind it and for how much time a satellite can be jammed?
Does it involve frequency or something else?

The satellite communication use DSSS. If you want to jam the RF signal. You need to inject a jammer with whole freq. band for the channel.
It's simply a matter of aiming a strong signal at the uplink transponder on the satellite and overwhelming the broadcasters signals. Or to utilize the band edges of the transponder - mostly unused - for your own transmissions.

First satellites cover a wide geographical range so it is impossible to jam the range satellite broadcast.
You can then hit directly then the satellite itself. One thing is for sure you must possition jamming exactly at cooordinates particular satellite is in orbit of earth.
Depends on what kind of satellite. The ones are military use some "unknown yet" spread spectrum techniques which will resist some degree of jamming.
You can not jamm abilities of satellite to obtain pictures/videos on earth unless you go out there any do something to the camera satellite has. It is known some military satellites were reading "Izvestija" newspaper from satellite in Gorki park in Moscow during Cold War.
The best way is to send a satellite of your own outthere and jam it. It will be noticed the location of jamming source from earth because you will need quite a strong signal to jamm a satellite especially those military.
Also would be impossible to jamm from earth for certain types of satellites which will orbit the earth let say 4 times (some do more circulations around) for 24 hours of day but there is hope for civilian Cellular or TV broadcast satellites. The military/spy ones, russian or american, are satellites which move in quite erratic pattern in orbit as they are out there to do some intelligence work.
