You can try this program called "Equipotential". U can get a trial from download.com

It plots out the E-field for you based on various charge configuration u set.

come on man, thats quite simple, u only need any plotting software (e.g; matlab) and of course you know the relation betaween the charge and the electric field surrounding it (gauss's law) !
