Realization of Microstrip from Lumped elements

时间:04-11 整理:3721RD 点击:
How can we realized(covert) lumped elements to Microstrip. Is there any specific or general formula for conversion of inductance and capacitance (series or parallel) so that one can have almost same performance in both cases(Microstrip & Lumped)?

Pls provide me the details on this topic? Its always confusing to realize an equivalent in Microstrip.

Thnaks,

Generally speaking lumped elements functions cannot be acheived by μstrip elements.
But some approssimations are possible.
1) an ≤λ/4 open stub act as shunt capacitor, especially for large W
2) an High Zo series line (small W) act as series inductance
3) an ≤λ/4 shorted stub act as shunt inductance, especially if W is very small
4) all equivalent L or C are, unfortunately, frequency dependent.

Well these are very general statements !

I need to know is there any specific rule for finding out length of Microstrip for specific value of capacitor or Inductor within definite band of frequencyy.

Anyways thanks for ur reply!

Hi,

the "problem" you have is solved long time ago. Lumped to distributed elements can be transformed by applying Richards transformation. You can find details on the transformations in almost any text book or elementary coure in MW/RF engineering. General statement again. However, your question also comes from general knowledge of microwaves/RF.

Hi again,

some time ago I uploaded this pdf file about transformations you are interested.

Hope this will help.
