Hi,
Does anybody has information (or knows a good resource) about the construction of Tunnel Diodes Amplifiers, and how the diode is mounted in waveguide or coaxial to act as an amplifier.

A circulator is necessary. The signal enters one port (input) and goes to the port with the diode. The reflection from the diode goes to the third port (output). The diode is physically connected to the transmission line at the middle port just the same way a resistor would be connected as a terminator. The extra complexity is the bias network.
just to add some info to the flatulent reply:
The Tunnel diode should be biased on the "negative resistance" zone ( typ. 100 - 400 mV)
